Don't Kiss the Animals: Colchester Zoo
Thursday, April 28, 2011We took advantage of the lovely weather and the long weekend to have a 'family day' out at Colchester Zoo. It's about an hour-and-a-half away (driving), but it made for a lovely day out for a very good cause. On the way up the to zoo we passed through the suburbs and towns in London and made our way Essex-wards past the most amazing luminous yellow fields:
Spring is here! And who would've thunk it - there are blue skies in England after all.
After washing our hands at the washbasins that are strategically placed around the zoo, we read the humorous warnings signs and began investigating the wildlife in one of the most amazing places I've seen in England so far.
Now remember, don't kiss the animals!
Here's a peek of what you can see if you visit Colchester Zoo:

It's like a miniature African theme park in the middle of the rolling countryside! Just what was needed after a bout of home-sickness. Yay.
